【摘要】:AnalysesusingDCP-AESrequireproperpreparationoftestsolutions,accuratecalibration,andcontrolofanalyticalprocedures.ASTMtestmethodsthatrefertothisguideshallprovidespecificsontestsolutions,calibration,andprocedures.DCP-AESanalysisisprimarilyconcernedwithtestingmaterialsforcompliancewithspecifications,butmayrangefromqualitativeestimationstoumpireanalysis.Thesemayinvolvemeasuringmajorandminorconstituentsortraceimpurities,orboth.Thisguidesuggestssomeapproachestothesedifferentanalyticalneeds.Thisguideassistsanalystsindevelopingnewmethods.Itisassumedthattheusersofthisguidewillbetrainedanalystscapableofperformingcommonlaboratoryproceduresskillfullyandsafely.Itisexpectedthattheworkwillbeperformedinaproperlyequippedlaboratory.ThisguidedoesnotpurporttodefineallofthequalityassuranceparametersnecessaryforDCP-AESanalysis.Analystsshouldensurethatproperqualityassuranceproceduresarefollowed,especiallythosedefinedbythetestmethod.RefertoGuideE882.1.1Thisguidecoversproceduresforusingadirectcurrentplasma-atomicemissionspectrometer(DCP-AES)todeterminetheconcentrationofelementsinsolution.Recommendationsareprovidedforpreparingandcalibratingtheinstrument,assessinginstrumentperformance,diagnosingandcorrectingforinterferences,measuringtestsolutions,andcalculatingresults.Amethodtocorrectforinstrumentdriftisincluded.1.2ThisguidedoesnotspecifyalltheoperatingconditionsforaDCP-AESbecauseofthedifferencesbetweenmodelsoftheseinstruments.Analystsshouldfollowinstructionsprovidedbythemanufactureroftheparticularinstrument.1.3Thisguidedoesnotattempttospecifyindetailallofthehardwarecomponentsandcomputersoftwareoftheinstrument.Itisassumedthattheinstrument,whethercommerciallyavailable,modified,orcustombuilt,willbecapableofperformingtheanalysesforwhichitisintended,andthattheanalysthasverifiedthisbeforeperformingtheanalysis.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecificprecautionarystatementsaregiveninSection7.
