【摘要】:Thekeroseneretentionvalueisanindicationofthedegreeoffiberizationandoftheabsorptivityofagivengradeofasbestos.Sincetheretentionofthefibrousfractionsismuchgreaterthanthatofthenon-fibrousfractions,thistestmethodmaybeusedtocomparethefibrouscontentofotherwisesimilargradesofasbestos.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthekeroseneretentioncapacityofasbestosfiberbyfilteringaftermixingandmeasuringthevolumeofliquidretainedbydifference.1.2Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Warning-Breathingofasbestosdustishazardous.Asbestosandasbestosproductspresentdemonstratedhealthrisksforusersandforthosewithwhomtheycomeintocontact.Inadditiontootherprecautions,whenworkingwithasbestos-cementproducts,minimizethedustthatresults.Forinformationonthesafeuseofchrysoltileasbestos,referto"SafeUseofChrysotileAsbestos:AManualonPreventiveandControlMeasures."Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Foraspecifichazardwarning,see.
