【摘要】:1.1Thispracticedescribesaprocedureforthedivisionofshipmentsofyarnintotestlotsandthesamplingofsuchlotsfortesting.1.2Thispracticeisapplicabletosingle,plied,orcabledyarns,andcords,madeofanyfiberormixtureoffibers,andsupportedonanyformofpackage,includingbeams.1.3Thispracticealsodescribesproceduresforthesamplingofyarn(s)removedfromwovenorknittedfabrics,however,whenthussampled,theyarnsareusuallynotrepresentativeofentireshipments,asreferredtoin.Consequently,theresultantsamplingcanonlybeusedtodeterminethecharacteristicsoftheyarnandisusuallynotusedforacceptancetesting.Moreover,itshouldberecognizedthatthecharacteristicsofyarnsfromfabricsmaybedifferentthanthecharacteristicsofthesameyarn(s),priortobeingenteredintothefabricmanufacturingprocess.1.4ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasthestandard.Withinthetext,theinch-poundunitsareshowninparentheses.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnonconformancewiththispractice.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
